Cherry Tomatoes Galore, Australian Butter beans and plenty of Cucumbers to make bread and butter pickes with.
Beit Alpha Cucumbers, Little finger Eggplants, Eva Purple Ball Tomatoes, Blondkopfchen tomatoes and a Red Kuri pumpkin. The top right is my favorite spot in the garden it has colorful Zinnias, Beetroot and Chilli's. Bottom right is a Rosa Bianca Eggplant.
Here are my new Chooks, whoops looks like the front one has no head! No eggs so far, I can't wait for the eggs to start rolling in.
I can see why the beetroot is your favorite spot in the garden. That's a great picture.
ReplyDeletethanks! I think I will actually be sad to pull the beet out when its ready :)
DeleteYour young hens look healthy. What a gorgeous harvest you had this week. All those summer veggies are making me quite jealous. :D
ReplyDeleteThose hens are trouble, I lost one the first night but managed to find her in the next backyard over! My childhood chicken herding skills are still well honed and I managed to catch her and reunite her with the others. Don't be too jealous the powder mildew is setting in and all but three of my tomatoes have succumbed to a fungal problem - That's what you get when you plant too close I guess.
DeleteThe Rosa Bianca eggplants look interesting. Do they get much bigger and how do they taste?
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, this is the first time I have grown Rosa Bianca. I got my seed form 'The Lost Seed' its a pretty big plant and is covered in about 10 similar sized fruit at the moment. I took this photo last week and this morning when I had a look it had about doubled in size, I have read they can reach one kilo! I don't think mine will get that heavy but maybe 500g. I choose this variety due to all the things I read about it being very mild in flavour(not a massive eggplant fan but trying to like it) and creamy in texture. I let you know when I harvest one.
